LOCAL fundraiser, Michelle Bateman, has been thanked by Westbury charity, Crosspoint, for her generous donations over the festive period.
Last month, Michelle donated six large boxes of new soft cuddly toys, toy buses, crayons, coloured pencils, colouring books, Christmas hand puppets, food and toiletries to Crosspoint in Westbury for children in and around the town who are in need. This month she also donated a basket of food.
This year marks eight years that Michelle has been donating food and toiletries for those in need to Crosspoint, and she says she will continue to support them as long as she can.
Michelle has received letters of thanks from chairman of Crosspoint, Len Clift, and treasurer Hilary Fairfield.
Hilary wrote, “I wanted to write to you to acknowledge your generous donation of toys to Crosspoint recently.
“These were given out to families in need who came into Crosspoint, and particularly to those who came in for food boxes. It was a lovely gesture – all the more so because there are so many families for whom this time of year is very difficult and it helps to demonstrate to these families that there are people like you who are thinking of them at Christmas.
“Thank you once again for your support; it is much appreciated.”
