THE annual chilli fest is back with a bang this month! After taking a year off, thanks to the pandemic, Westbury chefs are back and this time they mean business.
The event , Chilli Fest With Extra Cheese, has been organised by the Westbury Town Council and is set to fire up the high-street from 13:00 – 19:00 on 25th September.
Alongside this is a chilli eating competition, hosted by TV’s ‘UK Chilli Queen’ Shahina Waseem, an all-day chilli market so you can try to burn your tastebuds at home and even a completely free of charge apple pressing – providing you bring a bottle.
As well as a day full of eating, those who attend the festival will be treated to a performance by Mariachi Tequila, Jamma de Samba (Bath based samba drummers) and the Cley Hill Stompers (local Rock n Roll legends).
While the parents snack on the wide variety of food stalls, there’s plenty for the kids to get stuck into, whether it’s learning how to draw Day of the Dead skulls, taking part in a circus workshop or even watching the live magician on stage.
The event is completely free to enter.
