CHAPMANSLADE choir, Dolce Singers, is hosting a concert this weekend in aid of Ukraine.
The concert will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Bradford on Avon, on Saturday 2nd April at 7.30pm.
The choir says, “Dolce Singers are a chamber choir based in Chapmanslade, that sing an extensive and exciting range of repertoire. The choir aims to promote choral music at its finest level ensuring that each performance has great depth of meaning and musicality. The choir has been rehearsing for their forthcoming concert featuring Duruflé Requiem. The performance will be dedicated to the people of Ukraine and the choir and there will be a raffle and retiring collection in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
“The first half of the concert comprises the Duruflé Requiem. The second half will be uplifting European Sacred Music, including Rutter’s God be in my Head, Franck’s Panis Angelicus, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah, and the opening movement of the Gloria by Vivaldi.”
