The beautiful setting of St Mary’s Church in Steeple Ashton is the venue for The Philomel Singers’ Advent Concert.
The Philomel Singers, who celebrate their 30th birthday this year, are well known in the area, organising several concerts each year and are proud to have raised over £37,000 for mainly local charities since their formation in 1989.
This concert will take place on Saturday 14th December, at 7.30pm, and a very warm welcome to an evening of varied musical entertainment awaits. Seasonal songs will range from traditional to modern, all chosen for Advent. The choir will be joined by a very talented young violinist, Liana Tian, who will perform solo pieces and accompany the choir.
There will be a retiring collection, profits from which will be divided equally between St Mary’s Church, Steeple Ashton and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Refreshments will be available during the interval.
