A festive bazaar was hosted at the Bratton Church Institute last month, bringing Christmas cheer to the village community.
The event featured fun for all ages, including the popular ‘Name the Penguin’ game, a monster raffle offering a range of prizes, and the homemade traditional Christmas cake competition, where guests were invited to guess its weight. Janet was the lucky winner.
“The secondhand Christmas decorations stall proved popular,” said Joan Martin, the caretaker of Bratton Church Institute, “as did the face painting station with a Christmas theme and the game ‘Pin the Nose on Rudolph’. A special Christmas grotto – aptly named Elfridges – was run by a life-sized elf, who invited children to wrap a present in secret for Christmas.”
“It went very well; it was a lovely atmosphere and a happy event,” Joan added.
