Coombsclayshooting. com, based in Westbury. are hosting a weekend of clay shooting on 28/29 June – a change from the previously published date of Saturday 24th May to help raise money and public awareness of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity who complete important work supporting the UK’s armed forces.
Founded in 1944, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity provide financial assistance in the form of grants for serving soldiers, veterans or their dependants, who find themselves facing real hardship. The charity also provides grants to over 80 other charities who deliver key support to the wider army family. The weekend will be split into a novice day followed by a competition shoot on the Sunday. For those who attend the experience day, they will receive expert tuition in handling and using a shotgun and get to put their skills to the test, shooting 25 clay targets.
Clay shooting is growing in popularity and now is your chance for an introduction to the sport. The Sunday is the day for the more confident operator to flex his or her muscles and take part in a challenging shoot against 30 targets. Top prize of £100 and a runner up prize of £50.
