WESTBURY cleaning firm Squeeky Clean has seen a decline in business after people posing as employees have been delivering bad service and ripping people off.
Terry Cox set up the domestic cleaning service in 2008, and has noticed a falling number of customers in the past few months.
Terry said, “There has been a nameless company going to people’s houses around Westbury, Warminster and Trowbridge pretending to be from Squeeky Clean.
“They are delivering poor service or sometimes doing no cleaning at all and taking money from people. They have been intimidating the elderly into paying for services they don’t deliver.
“I’ve been getting complaints about my services that have nothing to do with me, but are damaging our image.
“The imposters are a group of men, whereas all genuine employees of Squeeky Clean are women. It’s really frustrating because we’ve spent years building a good reputation and it’s being destroyed in five minutes and now customers don’t call any more.”
Wiltshire Police has been informed of the matter, and anyone who is approached by people selling false services should report it and inform the company.
