Imperial Charity has now finalised its programme of coach trips for this year and will start with a journey to Windsor on 12th April.
After a record breaking year last year, the charity is looking forward to providing even more local senior citizens and people with special needs with a day out to the coast or places of interest.
Bob Summerfield, the charity manager said, “This year’s destinations have been chosen as a result of a survey of passengers last year, who were asked to nominate their favourite places they would like to go to.
“We are staying with the company Real Coaches who provided such admirable service last year and who have agreed to provide a minimum of two coaches per trip with the option of a third one should numbers demand it.”
Dates and destinations for this year are as follows:
12th April – Windsor; 10th May – Bourton-on-the-Water; 14th June – Sidmouth; 19th July – Teignmouth; 9th August – Weymouth; 13th September – Weston-Super-Mare; and 11th October – Cardiff.
There may also be the possibility of either a mystery tour or a visit to a Christmas Market later in the year. Details will be publicised when and if necessary.
Tickets will be available around three weeks before each trip after being advertised in the local press. They will be available from the charity’s shops in Westbury High Street and on Warminster Road, and also from the Warminster hub.
A donation of £5 per ticket will be asked for with the exception of people with special needs and their carers who will travel free.
