THE annual Guide Dogs for the Blind coffee morning, organised by Hilary Reed, raised over £1,000 this year, at the Paragon Hall on Saturday 13th October.
Hilary said, “The coffee morning was a great success, the weather brightened up just before the start at 10am. It was very well attended with a steady flow of people and the Warminster Military Wives choir did us proud by singing six of their songs, very moving and poignant!
“My grateful thanks to the choir, the people of Westbury and visitors from out of town. Also my grateful thanks to the committee of the Labour Club for their support this year and many other years in the past.
“We are still awaiting a final total but early indications are that the amount is in excess of £1,000! I would also would like to thank all the supporters and friends for their hard work. Until next year – thank you.”
