COMEDY, live music and dancing will be the order of the day at Frome Memorial Theatre over the coming weeks.
This Friday 17th March there will be a fun quiz night at The Assembly Rooms. All are welcome and entry costs £10 per team of a maximum of four people. There will be prizes for the 1st and 2nd placed teams, and meals are available beforehand. 7pm doors.
On Saturday 1st April – April Fool’s Day – comedian and prankster Lee Nelson will take the stage. Best known for his TV show ‘Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show’ and for turning up where he’s not wanted – he ran onstage during Kanye West’s Glastonbury Festival headline slot in 2015 – Lee is now touring his new and ‘best ever’ stand up show. The show is at 7.30pm and tickets cost £20.
On Friday 7th April, Strictly Come Dancing’s Pasha Kovalev will perform his newest show at the Memorial from 7.30pm. This event is sold out.
On Sunday 16th April, veteran comedian Ken Dodd will bring The Ken Dodd Happiness Show to the Memorial. Sir Ken was knighted in HM The Queen’s 2017 New Year’s Honours List; a fitting tribute to the Master of Mirth, and a comedian of legendary status. He is an icon and national treasure who has been entertaining audiences for a lifetime of happiness and laughter. The show is at 7pm and tickets costs £25.
On Saturday 22nd April ‘One Night of Elvis’ will bring back the biggest hits of The King, Elvis Presley. Lee Memphis King, Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist, recreates the essence of the King with consummate ease and an almost unbelievable combination of stunningly accurate vocals and incredible passion in every performance. This new show celebrates Elvis’s Vegas years from 1969 to 1977. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £22 or £21 conc.
