Coming up at the Memorial

THE Memorial Theatre lineup is jam-packed with music and entertainment for spring.

Tuesday 7th May 7pm, Wednesday 8th May 7pm Thursday 9th May 7pm, Friday 10th May 7pm Saturday 11th May 2pm & 7pm, Sunday 12th May  2pm- FMTC present Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Take a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car in this family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find ‘Truly Scrumptious’. 

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old racing car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical powers, but trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher. FMTC are thrilled to bring to The Memorial Theatre Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a high-flying, fun-filled adventure for the entire family.

Tickets £17, concessions £15. Family of 4 (max 2 adults) £60. Groups of 10+ (box office booking only) £14.

Friday 24th May- Bingo at The Assembly Rooms. EYES DOWN, IT’S BINGO NIGHT!!!

We’re having a Bingo at The Assembly Rooms (rear of which is situated behind Frome Memorial Theatre) on Friday 24th May.

Doors open at 6.30pm, Eyes Down at 7.30pm.

We’ve got some great prizes to be won, cash prizes too. Also we will be holding a raffle.

£1 entry fee towards the Memorial Theatre Restoration Fund.

Bingo tickets on sale at the venue on the night.

Saturday 25th May 3.00pm- Pop Divas Live!

Get ready for the best songs from all your favourite female stars in one fabulous fun-packed show. Little Mix will cast some Black Magic and Taylor Swift will Shake It Off as four enormously talented girls bring you up close and personal with the greatest female pop performers of today.

Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Rihanna will all be dropping in to the biggest Pop Party ever, so make sure you’re there!

With dazzling choreography, state-of-the-art videos and superb vocals Pop Divas Live! is the perfect pop concert experience for the little divas in your life. Tickets £15.

Friday 7th June  7.30pm- One Night Of Queen- SOLD OUT.

Saturday 15th June 7.30pm- Frome Rotary Presents A Charity Concert Performed by Caerphilly Male Voice Choir. The Rotary Club of Frome are pleased to welcome to the Memorial Theatre, the Caerphilly Male Voice Choir. This wonderful choir was invited to perform a concert to raise funds for charity and Frome Rotary president Norman Elmer jumped at the opportunity to help both a national charity and a local good cause. 

Caerphilly Male Voice Choir was formed in 1906 amidst the industrial revolution in South Wales. There were 20 members to begin with and it then grew to support the local community at gatherings and occasions. It is now a registered charity with an aim to support charitable functions.

Musical director is Nerys Porch – Music runs through Nerys’ blood. Daughter to a tenor singer and operatic society parents, Nerys was born to work in the music industry.

Cheryl Roberts, guest soloist has been singing for as long as she can remember, winning many Eisteddfod competitions and training for Margaret Thomas (Birmingham Conservatoire) and Robert Latham.

The choir is accompanied by Jane Coles. GDNSM.

The concert will be raising funds for Spinal Injuries Association www.spinal.co.uk and Frome’s Josh Payne-Gover. 

Performance in the theatre, followed by an “Afterglow” in the Assembly Rooms. Free to ticket holders. Tickets £12.50

Groups of 10+ (box office booking only) £11.50.
