THE contents of Westbury Leigh Baptist Church are going under the hammer at Cooper and Tanner Sale Rooms in Standerwick on Wednesday 5th June.
The Baptist Church and school room, which now lies empty, is an impressive Grade II listed building and the items such as the pews, the pulpit, church organ and even the stained glass windows are available to view before purchase on the 3rd and 4th of June between 10am until 3pm.
The former Baptist Church dates from 1796, and is constructed with solid brickwork elevations with free stone and brick dressings to door and window openings, under a pitched and clad with slate roof. A stone portico is formed to the church frontage. It is listed and within a Conservation Area.
The lots will also be sold online and able to view at www.the-saleroom.com. Cooper and Tanner are open for valuations every Thursday and Friday at their Sale Rooms at Standerwick or offer free home valuations if you are unable to make it.
