HAVE you got what it takes to be crowned the Leigh Park Community Centre Jubilee Baker?
The centre is hosting a Jubilee Bake Off as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations being held on Friday 3rd June. The centre will be open from 10am to 4pm on the day.
Budding bakers are invited to impress the judges in the Jubilee Bake Off with their fantastic royal themed creations.
All you need to do is bring your cake to Leigh Park Community Centre by 12pm on Friday 3rd June to enter in either the Under 16’s or Over 16’s category and email the organisers with your name and age category to office@lpccwestbury.org.uk by the end of May.
There will be a chance for participants to come away with the following prizes: the over 16’s first prize is the Union Jack Ceramic Cake Stand and £20 cash (sponsored by Demaine Artisan), the over 16’s runner up prize is Jubilee Apron (sponsored by Little Sugarush), the under 16’s first prize is a Jubilee Cake Tin and £20 cash (sponsored by Gooding Accounts), and the under 16’s runner up prize is Jubilee Wooden Spoon (sponsored by Gooding Accounts).
Organisers say, “The judges are not only looking for the best decorated but also the tastiest cake too. Winners will be announced by 3pm on the day.
“There will also be live music, children’s entertainers, dance performances, inflatables, The View party bus, licenced bar, stalls, free games for the children and much more.
“We will also be hosting a variety of food stalls including BBQ and pre-order picnics from The Lounge Coffee Shop that cater for all tastes including vegan and gluten free options. Visitors can also enjoy an assortment of sweet treats from the cake stall, Little Sugarush sweet cart, popcorn and candyfloss stalls and ice cream van.”
