THE team at Leigh Park Community Centre is looking for additional charity volunteers to help with the running of the organisation. The charity is looking for a coffee shop cook, coffee shop assistants and event organisers to go the extra mile and join the team.
Centre Manager, Debbie Cole, said “One of the more well-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the community. Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people and organisations in need.
“Volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, boost your social skills and benefits both mental and physical health.
“Whether you can spare an hour or two, or want to get involved more often, whatever time you can give is invaluable. For further information pop in for a chat over coffee, call us on 01373 825774 or email office@lpccwestbury.org.uk”
