Westbury Town Council would like to say a big thank you to all who supported the Great British Spring Clean during March and April.
The events were very well attended both by members of the Westbury community groups named below and by other residents.
Groups/dates were as follows:- • 23rd March – Rotary Club of Westbury • 30th March – Lions of Westbury • 3rd April – BA13 Group, Westbury • 9th April – Sovereign Housing, Westbury • 13th April – Westbury Town Council • 15th -19th April – Residents of The Ham, Hawkeridge Park • 27th April – Slag Lane Residents.
The town council said, “We would also like to thank anyone who carried out any other litter picks of which we were not aware.
“Locations all around Westbury and on the White Horse were litter picked and all the collected rubbish was kindly disposed of by Idverde, who we also thank. Westbury is very lucky to have such a supportive network of volunteers. The council will continue to organise its own litter picks throughout the year which we will advertise on our website, our events calendar and on Facebook.
“The council has equipment which it can loan to interested groups.”
