White Horse News invites a Wiltshire councillor to write about issues of their choosing.
Cllr Boaz Barry
As your local councillor, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to get in touch with me in recent weeks.
I’ve been out and about across Westbury, joining in with local volunteering and lending a hand wherever I can. It’s always a privilege to work alongside residents to help make our town an even better place to live.
I also want to reassure you that I’m keeping a close watch on the proposed development at Mane Way. While new homes can bring opportunities, it’s vital that growth is matched by the right infrastructure. I’m pressing to make sure communal spaces, roads, and essential services are properly planned and delivered alongside the build, so that the development strengthens our neighbourhood rather than placing extra pressure on it.
As chair of the Local Highway and Footway Action Group, I’m especially keen to hear your views on our roads and pavements. Whether it’s improving safety, tackling poor road surfaces, or considering new double yellow line locations, your feedback directly shapes the priorities we set.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and share your ideas or concerns.
