Weekly creative sessions for men aged 65 and over will begin at Westbury Library next month.
“Sessions will involve discussion on various topics, sharing experiences and ideas together and the chance to try writing words and song lyrics as a group, led by professional facilitators,” said Rebecca Seymour, creative producer at Celebrating Age Wiltshire, which is running the sessions.
Sessions will run every Monday from 5pm to 6.30pm from 13th April to 13th July, excluding bank holidays.
The sessions follow the success of similar groups including one in Melksham which won an Age Friendly Outreach national award in 2025.
Participants from another men’s group said, “I feel kindness and acceptance around the table” and “I have a real feeling of accomplishment from this group.”
Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
