THE Westbury Morrisons store is celebrating after its staff raised £927.54 for the charity Together for Short Lives after completing a cycle challenge in honour of the coronation of King Charles III.
The store took to the challenge to cycle virtually from Westbury to Buckingham Palace from Friday 28th April to Sunday 30th April to raise vital funds for their charity partner, Together for Short Lives, which is the only charity supporting the UK’s children’s hospices and families facing the heartbreak that their child will die young. The money raised will help seriously ill children and their families treasure every moment together.
The Westbury Morrisons’ team racked up a grand total of 198 miles.
Lisa Litterick, Westbury’s community champion said, “We are absolutely blown away by the level of support we raised for our cycle event, thank you to everyone who got involved. We still have a Coronation themed competition running in store and will continue to celebrate the coronation. I know the Westbury community will pull together to help us celebrate and raise vital funds to support local children’s hospices.”
Together with Morrisons, the charity is raising vital funds for children’s hospices across the country, helping families make precious memories, and reaching even more families caring for a seriously ill child.
