WESTBURY dental practice, Delicate Dentistry, celebrates its 20th anniversary this month and invites patients old and new to a party on Friday 25th September to celebrate with them.
Owner Mark Saliba took over the Hospital Road surgery in 1995 having moved from Sussex to Bath in 1993. Mark said, “I really liked the idea of being part of a small community where people knew each other.
“We have grown over the years but always wanted to keep to a size appropriate for a small town. We don’t advertise a lot so most of our new patients are recommended by their friends or family.
“I love seeing people in the waiting room chatting and catching up, it gives the surgery a feel of community rather than just a clinical environment. I’ve seen three generations of some families in the surgery which is lovely. My patients from 20 years ago bring their children, they become more like friends than just patients.”
Mark specialises in mercury-free and holistic dental therapies and offers the least invasive solutions to dental health and cosmetic requirements using new technologies and innovations known to work reliably for the patient’s benefit.
Mark said, “I treat people’s teeth how I would want someone to treat my family’s teeth so where possible I use minimum intervention dentistry.
“The last 20 years have been brilliant. Sharon and Mandy have been with me for the majority of the 20 years and have been a great support.”
Delicate Dentistry will also be sponsoring the Westbury Rugby team this season. Mark said, “We are thrilled to be sponsoring the team’s shirts this season. It’s important to give back to the community, plus I’m quite passionate about rugby so it’s great to be involved and get behind the team.”
Delicate Dentistry will be holding a party to celebrate the 20 years on 25th September between 3pm-5pm at the surgery in Hospital Road. Everyone is welcome to say hello and chat to the team.
Mark continued, “There hasn’t been one particular highlight in the last 20 years because it has all been great. But I would say the growing sense of contentment and feeling that the practice is a good thing for the community, does stand out for me. I’m proud of the service we provide and hear good feedback from our patients.
“I genuinely love my job and I never dread a Monday morning which is brilliant. I’m very grateful for the last 20 years and the support we have had from the community.”
