DILTON Marsh Women’s Institute hosted their annual supper party at their meeting in July.
Liz Lee reports, “The annual supper party held each summer by Dilton Marsh opened with the singing of Jerusalem which marks its links with the wider women’s movement and its commitment to improving the conditions of rural life.
“This was followed by a wonderful evening with delicious food and drink and much jollity. Two guests were welcomed, May, the mother of the youngest member and Lyn, a new resident in the village.
“President Alison Irving announced that next year will be the 100 year anniversary of Wiltshire WI. The Dorothy Harding Craft Cup was awarded to Mary Board. This month’s meeting is a talk on UK disasters.”
