Westbury and District Link Scheme urgently needs more volunteers to take on regular tasks such as helping with weekly shopping or taking people to medical appointments.
Westbury & District Link Scheme is an important and extremely successful local community initiative. Last year, its volunteer drivers covered 50,000 miles supporting local people.
If you don’t drive but are able to use a computer, the scheme also needs volunteers to act as telephone coordinators – people who answer clients’ calls. Training and ongoing supporting will be provided. Out of pocket expenses are paid for and a mileage allowance to cover driving costs.
All the scheme asks is for some of your time; as little or as much as you feel you can give.
