ABRAHAM’S Kitchen is hosting a free, family-friendly belated Valentine’s lunch on Friday 16th February from 12pm to 2pm at Grassacres Hall – and everyone from the local community is invited.
The lunch is a free community meal for the February half term and organisers are encouraging people to dress up for the day with Valentine themed clothes with prizes for the best dressed.
There will be the opportunity for children to make and cook their own pizzas while there will also be a Mother’s Day card crafting session
The town council says, “A family friendly lunch is included for every queen of hearts and prince of diamonds that attends. In fact, even kids, their parents and anyone else that comes along without dressing up can tuck into a feast of yummy treats.
“There’s a brilliant game, where prizes will be given out for the best dressed and best original costume to under 14s. There will also be Mother’s Day card-making with all the crafty bits there to use when you arrive. So, get on down to the wondrous Grassacres Hall, right inside Grassacres park itself, and see if you can love, play and eat yourself into the St Valentine’s heart at the end of this month!”
The Abraham’s Kitchen project has been running since the first Covid lockdown, offering tasty and free food to the people of Westbury during school holidays. The project is run by volunteers from the staff at Westbury Town Council.
