The Rotary Club of Westbury raised money by holding an ultra marathon on Sunday 8th March in conjunction with Avon Valley Runners.
The marathon took place over 33 miles across Salisbury Plain. 111 people took part and the winner was Ed Catmur from London, who completed the marathon with a winning time of three hours and 57 minutes.
Rotary expressed their wish to give this money raised to Crosspoint because of the local charity’s hard work in helping the people of Westbury
Rotary raised in total £2800, which included money from the marathon, and as well as donating £1400 to Crosspoint, they donated £1400 to Wheelpower at Stoke Manderville Hospital.
