WILTSHIRE Wildlife Trust is holding a nature walk and litter pick event in Westbury on Thursday 12th April at 2.30pm.
Join the waste education team and Westbury Town Council at Leighton Recreation Centre car park to clean up the woodland at the bottom of Wellhead Lane, followed by a nature walk. The litter pick and nature walk follows the ‘waste free buffet’ at Mad Hatters Cafe hosted by the trust.
Martin Dawson, Westbury Town Council events coordinator said, “We’re delighted to be working with our friends at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. It’s fantastic for the town to have two initiatives on the same day which promote reducing waste and protecting our local environment.”
Everyone is welcome, but they ask that dogs are left at home. Litter picking and recycling equipment will be provided.
There is limited parking available at Leighton Recreation Centre so they encourage you to walk to the event if possible. If you do require parking or would like more details about the event, call Wiltshire Wildlife on 01380 725670 or email rethinkrubbish @wiltshirewildlife.org.
