EDINGTON Arts has announced that, with great regret, it has been forced to cancel the remaining three concerts of its 2020 season.
This means there will have been no Edington Arts concerts in Edington Priory Church this year.
Anne Curtis, spokesman for the organisation said, “The combination of all the various Covid19-related guidelines and restrictions which we need to abide by means that presenting the rest of the season would not be financially viable. This is a conclusion we have reached after significant efforts to find ways of making it happen, but alas it has proved impossible.
“Instead we are looking ahead with enthusiasm and not a little excitement to the terrific programme we have fixed for 2021. The brochure is being designed at the moment, and will be distributed largely, but not exclusively, by digital and electronic means, as we will have no concerts at which to give them away. There will be ‘hard’ copies in the Priory Church and in other churches and information points in November.”
She added that some of the artists who were unable because of the pandemic to perform this year have been pencilled in for 2022.
