FAIRFIELD Farm College hosted a graduation ceremony last week to celebrate the achievements of the class of 2017.
The graduating students were joined by Team GB’s Paralympic Gold Medalist Anne Dunham OBE, who presented awards and certificates.
Admission and communication manager, Helen Beer said, “We were delighted to welcome so many students, family, friends and staff to Fairfield College for our graduation and award ceremony.
“We are super proud of all of you for your achievements.”
As well as taking to reflect on the achievements of each graduate, a moment was taken to highlight the sporting success of one student who hit the headlines this month after coming second in the 100m in the T20 (learning disabilities) category at the National Junior Athletics Championships.
PE coordinator and inclusion lead for the college, Rachel Bown, presented Mitchell Brown with a silver medal, highlighting that he is now ranked second in the country for the 100m in his category.
Earlier in the month the college held an under the sea-themed summer ball to say goodbye to the graduating students who were leaving the college. “Cocktails were served at the Hula Hula bar and we danced the night away to DJ le Frog,” said Helen.
