THIS bank holiday weekend promises to be an exciting one with the White Horse Country Park hosting its annual day-festival on Sunday 30th August.
The White Horse Festival will run from 12.30pm and offers a host of live music and family entertainment throughout the day. Organisers are expecting it to be the biggest ever and to top last year’s attendance of 500.
Hannah Bowden said, “There is so much going on during the day. We’ve got various stalls, local cider makers, a barbecue and a hog roast. We’ve got lots of entertainment for the kids, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, face painting, games and Mike Johnson will be running fun fitness sessions.
“It’s a great day out for all the family, and is a local festival that everyone can enjoy.
“We’re really excited; the ticket sales and the buzz about it suggests it’s going to be busy. Last year we sold around 500 tickets, so it would be great to exceed that number. We think it will be the busiest and biggest it’s ever been and we can’t wait.”
Live music will run from 2pm until late and include sets from Benji Clements, Jamie R. Hawkins, Phil Cooper, Will Lawton, The Rob Lear Band, The Big Time, The Leggomen, and Straight Shooter.
There will also be free camping available throughout the weekend. Tickets cost £12.50 and children under 14 go free. They can be bought online at www.whitehorsecountrypark.co.uk or on 01373 822323
