WITH this year’s Christmas festivities rapidly approaching, Westbury Town Council will once again promote and support an exciting programme of celebrations, events and activities throughout November and December.

Now in its seventh year, the ‘Christmas in Westbury’ programme will feature a range of major events together with the promotion of all local community events and activities – a festive programme with something for everyone.

Details of all events will be published in the ever popular ‘Christmas in Westbury’ booklet which is widely distributed to every home in the local area from mid-November.

Westbury mayor, cllr Sue Ezra said, “It’s Christmas time again in Westbury and this year we are starting a little earlier than usual. As usual we are having the street event and our Christmas lights switch on, but this year we are holding both events on the same day, Saturday 24th November.

“It will be a time for everyone to get together and enjoy a wonderful time, finishing with the switch on.  Events will continue from then until Christmas Eve so let’s hope that everyone has a fantastic time whether in Westbury or the surrounding villages. As Mayor, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year.”
