FINAL preparations are now under way for the Fire and Forge Festival, a weekend of live music at the Civic Centre in Trowbridge on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th October.
Organiser Doug Harvey from Westbury said, “Fire & Forge began life as Rock Diabetes in 2012, before being re-branded in 2015 and has grown each year, supporting underground rock and metal, while at the same time raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
“The festival combines high profile headliners with an array of underground talent from across the rock and metal spectrum, which means there’s always something to tempt every palette. With a great, friendly atmosphere Fire & Forge is a fantastic event for everyone – and the fact that by supporting the festival you’re supporting such a great cause as well is an added bonus.
This year’s event will be headlined by former Iron Maiden and Wolfsbane singer, Blaze Bayley and Grim Reaper.
“The rest of the talent packed line-up includes underground heroes like Divine Chaos, Eradikator, Fury, Lifer, Gehtika and a battalion of others. As well as continuous great music there will be a bar, hot food, stalls, merchandise stand, a prize draw and a special auction featuring some unique and highly desirable festival related items.
“There will also be a very special guest of honour at Fire & Forge 2017 – Steve Grimmett of Grim Reaper. Steve recently lost his leg due to diabetes-related problems and has shown incredible bravery in recovery. He will be demonstrating his amazing courage once more by taking to the stage at Fire & Forge to perform a song with one of the bands.”
