A Westbury footpath regularly used by schoolchildren could soon have lighting thanks to an area board-led project.
Work is due to start on the Indigo Lane path from Springfield Road and it is hoped lighting will be in place before the winter.
Part of Springfield Road from the vehicular entrance to Matravers School will be closed from the 10th August for two days to enable contractors to carry out a road crossing for provision of electrical supply to the new street lighting installation. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses. The project to install lighting on the footpath was first mooted at the area board’s transport group.
