Children aged up to 16 can enjoy free swimming during specific public swimming sessions at Westbury Swimming Pool and other local Wiltshire Council and Places for People Leisure-managed leisure centres.
Also, on the 14th August, multi-sport sessions will be held at Dilton Marsh Recreation Field 12.30-2pm and Bratton Village Green 2.30-4pm These sessions are for children aged 5-11.
John Thomson, deputy leader and cabinet member for leisure at Wiltshire Council said, “Sport plays a vital role in the lives of young people in Wiltshire and also the wider community – contributing to health and wellbeing, community cohesion and social interaction.
“In Wiltshire we think it’s vital that everyone has the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity. As a result, we have been able to develop additional sports programmes to ensure residents can access high quality, local sport across the county.”
