Westbury Churches Together are holding more of their successful Family Fun days in August.
Fun days will be on Wednesday 6th August at The Green, Oldfield Park between numbers 17 – 52 (in Westbury Junior School if wet), and on Wednesday 27th August in Dilton Marsh Recreation Ground, (in the Memorial Hall if wet). Both events are from 1pm until 4pm.
There will be a bouncy castle, crafts, face painting, giant games, parachute play, refreshments and much more. Best of all everything is free!
Rev. Dai Davies Minister Westbury Leigh & Stormore Baptist Church said, “Their purpose is simply to serve the community by providing a fun time in the school holidays, for babes in arms right through to the older generation who can just come, sit and chat, while having free refreshments.
“It’s a way of taking the church into our neighbourhood and having a fun time with them, thus showing that while we may have this additional dimension to our lives i.e. faith, we are still normal – whatever that means – and that we enjoy everyday things just like other people.”
The events are a joint initiative between the White Horse Team Ministry (Church of England) and Westbury Leigh & Stormore Baptist Church, Westend Baptist Church, Westbury United Churches (URC/Methodist), the White Horse Children’s Centre and Selwood Housing Association.
