With the summer holidays fast approaching, Wiltshire Council’s ‘Get Active’ programme has sports and activities for young people of all ages.
In rural areas, the popular, multi-sport ‘Fun in the Sun’ programme returns to 27 village venues around the county for 90-minute sessions of outdoor games, activities and sports. Delivered at each venue for four weeks, this programme is aimed at young people aged five to 11 years old and is free to attend.
The programme provides high quality multi-sports coaching provided by Wiltshire Cricket and Innov8 Sportz. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new friends, have fun and stay active.
Children must bring with them a completed consent form. These can be downloaded from the web page or collected at their first session of attendance. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Local sessions are available in Bratton and Dilton Marsh on Monday 20th July, 6th, 13th and 20th August. The Dilton Marsh sessions will run from 12.30-2pm at Fairfield Farm College. Bratton sessions will run at the Village Green from 2.30-4pm.
