Matravers School is delighted to announce that it has been successful in its bid to receive capital funding to significantly improve accommodation and facilities further.
The school is one of 277 included in the Priority School Building Programme 2 (PSBP2), which will share a funding pot of £2billion. The successful schools will now have the condition of one or more of their buildings addressed as part of the programme. Scoping studies are set to commence in April, to assess the work required, along with timescales.
Headteacher Dr Simon Riding said, “We have been eagerly awaiting this announcement and we are delighted with the outcome.
“A great deal of hard work has gone into this and the Westbury community will finally have buildings that reflect the 21st Century Education system. Our high aspirations and innovative work will be matched by state-of-art facilities.
“Buildings alone won’t help a student to pass an exam; but high quality facilities will support our ethos and enhance the amazing things that we are already doing.”
