WESTBURY Youth Club raised a whopping £440 at their summer BBQ last month. Members were treated to entertainment from local magician and entertainer Dave Hickory as well as taking part in a raffle with some great prizes on offer.
Beth Mullins, leader of Westbury Youth Club said, “With costs rising but not funding, fundraising is now more important than ever to keep the youth club running.
“We held our summer BBQ and raffle on Wednesday 20th September where we opened up our usual session to the community. We have to say a massive thank you to the local companies who donated to our raffle and helped us raise a massive £440.
“And also, a massive thank you to Dave Hickory who provided the entertainment for the young people for the evening. We also have to say a massive thank you to councillors Gordon and Carol King who came along to support the club and the event.”
