THE ever-popular fund-raising coffee morning for guide dogs is back and hopes to make up for a whole year off due to the pandemic.
The first coffee morning will take place 10-12pm at the Paragon Hall/Labour Club in Westbury on Saturday 16th October.
The organiser of the event, Hillary Reed said, “You are warmly invited to drop in for tea/coffee and cake, to browse our stalls and to meet and greet with local guide dogs and guide dog puppies in training!
“We will have our ever-popular cake stall, tombola plus various stalls! We will also have on offer Christmas cards and gifts to help you make an early start plus, our grand raffle.
“We very much look forward to welcoming you all and making this a bumper year!”
This year marks the 90th year that the Guide Dogs association has been supporting the blind and partially sighted, with the first four guide dogs (German shepherds) qualifying with owners on 6th October 1931.
