A CHARITY football match took place recently in memory of Westbury PC Mike Johnson.
Held at the football ground, the match ended in a 3 – 3 draw between Wiltshire Police E division and the Armed Response Group.
PC Johnson died in August 2009 at the age of 46, having collapsed while jogging to work. He had worked as both a firearms officer and as the beat manager for Westbury Rural.
The annual match raises funds in his memory, and this year the match raised over £280 to be split between Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the Mike Johnson Memorial Garden at Dilton Marsh Primary School.
