Longleat is playing host to a ghastly gathering of spooks and spectres as part of their infamous October Half Term Halloween Festival, which runs from Friday, 23rd October to Sunday 1st.
From skeletons in the Hedge Maze and witches in the Great Hall to haunted Ghost Trains and Dracula in the Bat Cave visitors of all ages are invited to join the frightful festivities.
Longleat’s giant Hedge Maze has been taken over by skeletons and visitors must try and track down their scattered bones; but beware as some of the skeletons have a nasty habit of coming back to life! The Great Hall has been overrun by witches who have been brewing up trouble with their weird and wild Witches’ Coven and there are creepily close encounters with Dracula on offer in the Bat Cave.
The Ghost Train will be making its way through the wild wood and there’s an all-new Trick or Treat Trail to follow. Following another sell-out run last year, the frightfully popular Ghost Tours are back with a vengeance. Taking place six times a day, the tours provide a frightfully exciting experience.
Listen to tales of terror and intrigue in the spooky surroundings of Longleat House and go in search of mysterious apparitions in its gloomy cellars, shadowy attics and chilling corridors. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited to a maximum of 10 per group.
There’s the chance to get hands-on with a selection of creepy critters in the Nasty But Nice Shows which aim to showcase the softer side of everything from snakes and spiders to centipedes, skunks, ferrets and even giant toads!
Longleat Safari & Adventure Park will also be staging a series of fabulous musical fireworks extravaganzas between 29th – 31st October.
