TIME is running out to vote on how you would like to see Becks Mill Play Area upgraded.
Westbury Town Council has received funding from Wiltshire Council to spend on new equipment for the Becks Mill Play Area in Westbury Leigh. The council has four design options for the public to choose from; these can be viewed and voted on by visiting www.westburytowncouncil.gov.uk but the voting closes this Thursday, 27th April.
Assistant town clerk, Amanda McCann said, “Section 106 money is obtained from the Section 106 Agreements that the unitary council negotiates with the developers as part of the planning permission to address issues relating to public open spaces, affordable housing etc.
“The unitary council is then responsible for ensuring this money is spent within the timescales specified and allocated to the right projects. Section 106 funds can only be spent on new or improving current facilities where the new development has, at least in part, had an impact on the existing facility.
“Due to the tight time scale, we have contacted four playground companies to design four options for consideration and have posted these on our website for you to view. We would like to ask our residents to look at these options and vote for their preferred option by sending an email to the appropriate email address shown next to their chosen option.”
