Staff and pupils at Dilton Marsh Primary School have bid farewell to headteacher Jill Hibbs, who is retiring after five and a half years at the school and 35 years of teaching in the Westbury area.
Speaking about her time at Dilton Marsh Primary, Mrs Hibbs said, “It was very apt that the last week of the summer term, my very first Year 6 class at Dilton left Year 11 and had their prom. It reminded me of how far we have come since then.”
“Reflecting on my time here, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and pride,” she said. “Together, we have built a nurturing and inspiring school where our children not only do well academically, but also grow into compassionate, responsible and curious individuals. This journey would not have been possible without the support of our parents and carers.”
“Over the years, I have loved working with such an exceptional team of teachers and support staff. We have made so much progress as a result of their dedication and willingness to ‘have a go’ when asked to change and adapt.
“I will always hold a special place in my heart for the memories and relationships forged during my tenure at Dilton Marsh CE Primary School.”
