Staff from Cards Plus in Westbury are taking part in Air Ambulance Week 2014 by dressing up as heroes to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
During Air Ambulance Week (22nd-28th September) Wiltshire Air Ambulance will attempt to raise £6,850 every day for seven days, which is how much it will cost to keep the air ambulance flying each day once its partnership with Wiltshire Police ends this year. The charity receives no government or national lottery funding and is planning a week of hero-themed activities to raise vital funds.
Rebecca de la Bedoyere, fundraising manager for Wiltshire Air Ambulance said, “We are delighted that Cards Plus is taking part in Air Ambulance Week to help us to pay for a day. We couldn’t keep flying and saving lives without the people of Wiltshire who fundraise so tirelessly. To us they are real heroes.”
