WESTBURY Cricket Club’s first team currently sit in fourth place in the West of England Premier League Wiltshire division following a home win and an away defeat.
On Saturday 22nd June, Westbury played at home against Warminster. Westbury won the toss and elected to bat first. Their top batsman was Graham Hudson with 93 runs. The first team clocked up 223 runs from 50 overs.
After the break, Westbury made fast work of the Warminster batsmen, with the visiting side all out with158 runs.
On Saturday 29th June, Westbury travelled away to face Swindon. Westbury won the toss and elected to bat first. Their top batsman was Dan Gill with 55 runs. The first team clocked up 202 runs from 50 overs.
However, they were unable to stop Swindon, who won by five wickets, clocking up 204 runs.
Westbury will play away against Royal Wootton Bassett at their next match on Saturday 6th July, from 12.30pm.
