THE members of the Bratton branch of the Royal British Legion invite you to a talk by Tony Coutts-Britton, ‘In Flanders Fields,’ on Saturday 3rd February at Bratton Church.
Tony will talk about the events of just over a hundred years ago, leading up to the 100th anniversary of Operation Michael. He will finish with some thoughts on the hundred days offensive which began on 8th August 1918.
Tony is a regular speaker for ‘poppy talks.’ He has a most engaging style and his experiences as a battlefield guide and knowledge of military history are both immense.
The talk will begin at 6pm at Bratton Church Institute and will end by 7.15pm. Doors will be open from 5.40pm for pre-talk drinks. Entry is by donations with £5 suggested. All donations will go to The Poppy Appeal. The talk is open to all, not just RBL members.
