July starts another year for the Inner Wheel Club of Westbury and Maureen Chapman, retiring president hands over the chain of office to Jean Heath who takes over as president for 2014/15.
This year several new officers have come forward and the club is very grateful for their support.
Sheila Buckton, club correspondent reported that fund raising throughout the past year has enabled the club to donate money to: All Saints Church, British Legion, Dorothy House, Alzheimers Support, Splitz (Family Support, Trowbridge), Click Sargent, Motor Neurone Association, Whizzy Bugs, District 120 Flood Relief for Somerset Levels, The Philippines Disaster, Freedom from Fistula and Hope and Homes for Children.
Looking ahead, the club has a variety of events programmed, both fund raising and social, and hopes it will be a busy but very enjoyable year
