THE Inner Wheel Club of Westbury has presented a cheque for £500 to the mobile cancer care unit at the White Horse Health Centre in Westbury,
President of the club, Joanna Earney, along with Jean Heath and Valerie Algar, visited the mobile cancer care unit on 24th May, to present the cheque to the chemo team, for the charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes ‘Hope for Tomorrow’.
The members of Inner Wheel said, “We were kindly invited to view the facilities on board and were much impressed with the relaxed atmosphere of calm and comfort in the unit for patients. It is obviously so much more beneficial for patients than having to cope with the stress involved in travelling to hospital. We would like to thank everyone who came along to our Charity Bingo Night in April, to help us raise funds for this very worthwhile charity.”
