December’s meeting of the Inner Wheel of Westbury was very short.
Jean Heath, club correspondent reported, “The meeting was on this occasion much shorter as we had invited our husbands/partners to join us for a social evening with dinner held at a member’s home.
“We had a very relaxed evening and over a glass of wine or two we had a ‘catch-up’ with everyone’s news.
“The main topic of the meeting was our ‘Evening with Paul Martin’ (Flog it fame) which we held the previous Saturday evening. This was a great success and we have had excellent feedback.
“We raised in excess of £1,000 which has been shared between Motor Neurone Disease and aid for the Philippine disaster. We would like to say a big thank you to all who supported us and contributed to this success.
“Our next meeting will be in January when we will be celebrating ‘Inner Wheel World Day’ together with Inner Wheel’s 90th Birthday.”
