The White Horse Day Centre now opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.00am to 3.30pm at Grassacres Hall, Westbury. The centre is on the lookout for new members and volunteers.
The day centre offers support to the ‘over 65s’ and aims to provide a safe place where they can meet up with friends, have a three-course lunch and participate in gentle exercise, activities and go on day trips.
The day centre had its first Thursday opening on 11th June and was very well attended. Sue Ezra, chairman of the committee said, “While we have a full membership list on Tuesdays, we do have vacancies for Thursdays, so if you would like to join us please pop in and see our coordinator Jackie Clay who will be very pleased to see you.”
A volunteer cook and volunteers to help out are still needed for Thursdays, so if you have a few hours to spare and can help out, please contact Sue Ezra on 07816 991960 or via email at whitehorsedaycentre@gmail.com
