WESTBURY’S branch of the Royal British Legion is encouraging local people to get involved with the group and meet with fellow service personnel.
The branch, which meets once a month at the Horse and Groom, is appealing for serving and ex-serving men and women and their families to join the support network.
Military veteran and branch chairman Eddie Bridges said, “To all serving and ex-service personnel and their families in the Westbury area, we urge you to consider joining the Royal British Legion.
“It is well known that the Legion is one of the oldest and foremost organisations that provide help for military families, and you yourself may need help in the future. We can be there to help you.
“The British Legion offers help, support, and community to those who have served in the forces themselves, or come from a military family.
“People from Westbury and all the surrounding villages are welcome to join us.”
The branch meets on the first Monday of each month at the Horse and Groom on Alfred Street.
