Westbury C of E Junior School’s year 3 and year 4 Christmas play told the traditional nativity story through the eyes of a host of roving reporters and TV news anchors.
The school reports, “With Christmas songs, traditional carols and even a lit jar lantern procession, it has certainly brought the Christmas spirit to Westbury Juniors.”
Mrs Platt, a year 3 teacher added, “This has been a great team effort. We have all been very impressed with the children’s resilience, especially with the level of sickness around over the last few weeks.”
The school continued, “Pupils from Westbury C of E Juniors also joined other local schools to showcase an evening of Christmas carols at All Saints’ Church in Westbury. On a very chilly evening, this festive event was organised by the Rotary club and the church was filled with wonderful singing all evening.
“The pupils of Westbury Juniors chose to perform ‘Who Would Imagine a King?’ from the film ‘A Preacher’s Wife. Originally sung by Whitney Houston, this tested even our most talented singers and we could not have been more proud of them all.”
