Nominations are only open for one more week for the Westbury Young People Awards. The online nominations system will close on Friday 24th May and local people are encouraged to start putting names forward as soon as possible.
Westbury Community Engagement Manager, Graeme Morrison said, “Shortlisted nominees will be invited to the awards ceremony to take place in the evening of Wednesday 19 June. It will be a brilliant evening. This is a fantastic way to recognise the wonderful young people that we have in the Westbury Community Area.
“The awards categories are: Young Achiever Award, Young Carer Award, Volunteering Award, Young Leader Award, Sporting Individual Award, Sporting Team Award, Young Voice Award, School Council Award, Young Individual Arts Award, Young Team Arts Award.”

Nominations can be made by anybody including school teachers, club leaders, coaches, parents, friends, family members. The person being nominated must be 18 or under or up to 25 with a disability and must either live or go to school in the Westbury Community Area.
